Beauticians are the people that we go to when we want to look beautiful. Most of the beauticians that I have gone to have beautiful hair, nails, and make-up, but a lot of times they tend to forget about their uniforms. They end up looking pretty, but in somewhat frumpy uniforms.
Here are a few of the reasons that it may be a great idea for a beautician to not only dress up their hair, nails, and make-up, but also pay attention to the salon uniforms that they choose to wear.
1. First impressions do matter, and if a client were to walk in and see a beautician that was in plain sight and not busy, they would probably still choose the one off in a corner working in a more form-fitting, fashionable salon uniforms. Even if that meant they had to wait a little longer.
2. The saying that goes along the lines of dressing for success is true, especially in the beauty and/or fashion industry. The more people view a beautician as a professional, the more likely they are to make an appointment and take them seriously. Image goes a long way, even more so when your job is to help make people look their best. In this case, a beautician should try to look their best, before helping others.
3. Self image is highly important. It is something that can effect everything about a person. It effects from how they may carry themselves to their overall performance. If a beautician knows that she as a whole package looks good, she will feel good on the inside as well, and that will show in her work and in her overall confidence level. She will also be more productive and more likely to be able to connect with her clients.
The goal of a beautician is to look good, from head to toe. It’s more than just hair, nails, and make-up, but also the salon uniform that she chooses to wear.
